Vote and stay safe by voting with an absentee (mail-in) ballot !
Here are some ways to request an application to vote Absentee. It is important to submit your applicaton AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! If everyone waits until later to request, the system will be overwhelmed and ballots may not reach voters in time!
Print Application from Website: You may visit the Board of Elections website at https://wilkescounty.net/532/AbsenteeOne-Stop-Voting, then click on the NC Absentee Request Form 2020 Elections link.
Print the instructions and application and complete the application.
By Telephone:
Call the Board of Elections and ask them to mail you an application, along with instructions.

In Person: You may come to the Board of Elections and request an application in person.
See address below. Hours 8:30 - 5:00 Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
Check application carefully and legibly, and be sure to SIGN and DATE it.
Return Your completed Application to:

- By US Mail or a delivery service (UPS, Fed Ex, etc.)
- Or deliver it to the Board of Elections office in person
The Wilkes County Board of Elections will start mailing Absentee Ballots in September.
You may VOTE your ballot at that time.
Changes to this process may continue until closer to the election.
