EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO VOTE WITH an absentee (mail-in) ballot !
Here is how you can request an application to vote Absentee. It is important to submit your application AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! If everyone waits until later to request, the system could be overwhelmed and ballots may not reach voters in time.
Print Application from Website: You may visit the Board of Elections website at https://wilkescounty.net/532/AbsenteeOne-Stop-Voting, then click on the NC Absentee Portal link. Print the instructions and application and complete the application.
By Telephone:
Call the Board of Elections and ask them to mail you an application, along with instructions.

In Person: You may go to the Board of Elections and request an application in person.
See address below. Hours 8:30 - 5:00 Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
Check application carefully and legibly, and be sure to SIGN and DATE it.
Return Your completed Application BEFORE 5pm October 29th, one week before the election (to:
